Zenxith
A Tough Act To Follow

This is the 14th album titled “A Tough Act To Follow”, this was recorded in Zenxith’s house during early 2025, over the cold months of February, March & April. The cover art is the beautiful Madeline Smith in a photoshoot from July 5, 1969, for Petticoat magazine. This is full of jangle, tambourines & shakers throughout the entire album, chorus covered guitars, catchy pop! Few love songs as usual, the production is very lofi, drum machine throughout with a few that have no drums whatsoever, a lot of the lyrics have real meaning & a few romantic lyrics. A very mellow album with soft vocals, another DIY staple, no label, no backing, no studio, no band, just me from my room, you’ll not see this album anywhere in terms of record stores etc, this is independent! This is lofi jangle with hints of post punk & twee pop. This is indie pop, which doesn’t sound quite like the conventional sound we all know and love, it’s that classic Zenxith sound again! Gentle but dark. This album consists of 12 tracks, with 3 singles! DIY is always important & often gets thrown around carelessly, but I can assure, this is genuine! The majority of these songs were wrote & recorded within only a few hours and a couple of the tracks were recorded with only 1 earpiece as my headphones broke halfway through recording this album, but I just finished it anyway as you can hear with the last track. This album is available on CD only as issue 11 on my label Salt Mine Records, limited to 100 copies! Authentic! Yes it’s true I know it’s true! This album is dedicated to Madeline Smith!
