What is GetMusic?
I built this site to scratch my itch.
A platform like Bandcamp is a fantastic tool to promote your music and profit from your efforts.
Bandcamp can be very valuable for independent artists, and a few sales on Bandcamp can easily make you more money than thousands of streams on some other unnamed services.
The problem is that Bandcamp needs to make promotion and discovery easier.
I have always liked the download codes that Bandcamp gives you, and I have used them to promote my music—either posting them on my socials or in online forums where folks post codes.
Using Bandcamp codes online has always been a weird experience. People post pages of codes, and users try to keep track of the used ones.
It's a process that is "broken."
GetMusic fixes this.
Artists can promote their releases without having to worry about tracking codes. When a fan clicks the link to redeem a code, it's automatically redeemed, and the code is marked as used so that it won't be handed out again.
In the week after the site's initial launch, I promoted one of my releases and gained more followers on Bandcamp than I have after a year of self-promotion.
Build Your AudienceGetMusic is a resource for artists to grow their Bandcamp following quickly.
If you are interested, we invite you to try it free to promote one of your releases.
Just head over to get started.

I'm super pleased. You've almost doubled my followers, and surprisingly, I got a fair number of sales, too!
GetMusic.fm has been great for my followers and exposure. Had 12 Bandcamp followers for quite some time, and within a week am at 75 and counting! Great folks, great service, highly recommend for anyone who is looking for Bandcamp exposure! And yeah - the first round is free!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I use @GetMusicfm because it's the easiest way to share my songs with people who love music. It's also a great way to find music for my weekly indie music show on @audiomiragepdx radio!
May I say I am thrilled with the results with GET MUSIC! In less than 3 weeks my Bandcamp follower count has risen by 86%, I've received hundreds of additional streams I otherwise wouldn't have. Further, it appears there's been a knock-on with a spike in Spotify activity also, presumably punters who utilise both platforms. In even less time my old band THE GELS has received a 114% rise in Bandcamp followers and generated real sales. I wasn't sure what to expect when I joined GET MUSIC, but I certainly wasn't expecting this. It's a staggering result.
I'm really glad that I did this now. I've got the most daily Bandcamp streams that I've ever had, plus 20 download code redemptions so far today, and a load of new followers.
I honestly cannot remember how I functioned as an indie artist without GetMusic. In fact, the site does so much of the work for me, I've actually let my other promotional activities slide! For a long time I was a "Free" or "Pay What You Want" artist, but had little traction. Even though listeners getting codes through GetMusic is still technically free, there's a psychological reward when cashing tokens for music you'd normally pay for. Just by offering codes through GetMusic, my listeners have grown by 70% or more. Along with providing links to song downloads, GetMusic is constantly popping up on the socials with graphics of new releases, either solo or grouped with other new tracks. I myself am often drawn to new music thanks to these arresting graphics. GetMusic's stats are also great for reposting and reminding listeners of your newest tracks or albums. Along with Bandcamp, GetMusic is an essential tool for the indie artist.
It seems counterintuitive, but my sales have increased 12% since starting with GetMusic, which suggests that many music fans swap out their digital copies for physical formats.
Using free codes to promote my band got me about 100 followers and 100 listeners on BandCamp and i spent about $12.00. So its worth it!
GetMusic.FM is the best $10 we have ever spent to advertise. We have had a noticible uptick in streams and unique listeners on the major sites including more Shazams. And the icing on the cake; online radio stations are picking up our music to play on their shows without us having to submit and hoping it is something they will like. Promotion that actually works.
