Sentinel is a new step in my music journey: rock music that can be very digestible, without compromising on the musicality of it. For this one, I took the liberty to explore with more complex harmonies, chord structures and bass-lines.

This one had one of the fastest concept-to-execution timelines of my discography, as I did everything over four weekends: one for writing, one for recording instruments, one for recording vocals and one for mixing. Being a one-man band allowed me to move forward very quickly. I had the assistance of a very talented Fiverr drummer I had worked with before, but apart from that I did everything else myself.

The album cover and title are a tribute to one of my cats. He can be a menace at times, but often he is loving and caring. The sentinel of our household.
