“I’m a true hip hop head who appreciates all directions that hip hop is moving in, drill in particular excites me because it sounds like a completely new genre. My lyrics usually focus on social commentary and this is no exception. What I’m referencing with the line ‘like sheep follow 2 by 2’ is that my contemporaries and I need to step in line—to recognise and appreciate hip hop’s new movements. I’ve always made music for people who want something slightly different from what mainstream has to offer. Also, I grew up in Ghana where pidgin English is what most people speak.
