Based off of the horrific burning of Baghdad in 1258 at the hands of Mongol invaders, House of Wisdom is a brutal lamentation of the extreme loss of life and knowledge associated with the end of the Islamic golden age. As epic as the historical events it's based off of, House of Wisdom simultaneously contains brutal riffs, agonized vocals, and melancholic melodies.
