House in the Field
Sometimes, an album writes itself. I get to my home studio, and everything just happens on its own. I improvise and immediately know what needs to be added. I can instantly feel what’s missing to make the song sound just right. I know that for Native Fields, I need to go outside and capture the chirping of birds, and for Forest River, the sounds of a mountain stream. And everything comes together.
This album is exactly that. I made it in less than two months because I was in the flow. And I love this flow. It feels natural, effortless. Mostly ambient with a slight touch of surrealism (I just can’t do without it), this is my House in the Field.
