Atomic Fruti
Sketches of the Moon

If Sketches of the Moon were a day, it would be one of those meandering afternoons where everything feels just slightly off. The album captures the absurdity and melancholy of daily life – where each moment seems eternal as we experience it, while the past feels like a surreal, fading dream.

Self-recorded at La Turbine Studios in 2024, the sophomore album finds Atomic Fruit fully in control of their sound, experimenting with electro-acoustic effects, pitch-shifted vocals, reverb-drenched baritone guitars, and even the metallic twang sound of a pizza shovel to craft a distinct, intimate atmosphere.

From the laid-back desert blues rhythm of "Sure," to the reflective, tape-delayed nostalgia of the title track, or the crunchy, Modern Lovers delivery of "Get Along," the record effortlessly blends genres and textures, as if each song reflects a different memory.

With raw honesty and eclectic creativity, Sketches of the Moon is a reflection of the band's journey, capturing both the complexity and simplicity of life, one song at a time.
