TERRA is a dialogue between the fluid matter of water and the sound of the modular synthesizer. Environmental recordings — rain, thunderstorms, rivers, and streams — become the living fabric upon which slow frequencies, deep pulses, and synthetic resonances take shape.
The field recordings of water, rain, and valleys function as the primary compositional substrate of each piece. Rather than serving as mere ambient background, the sonic presence of nature provides the structural framework that supports and conditions the development of the modular synthesizer. The drones and electronic harmonies are not designed to override the natural recordings; instead, they articulate and modulate the temporal unfolding of each composition.
