PERDITION
PERDITION are punk-rock royalty in their home city of Adelaide, Australia. The first existence of PERDITION, ably led by Lead Vocalist MARK HAYES, ran from 1982 to 1989. Releasing the A POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE TO TORTURE album on Cassette (1983), before signing with Melbourne's REACTOR RECORDS to release THE INTOXICATED EP (1984), and HOW TO TEACH YOUR BUDGIE TO TALK LP (1985). PERDITION disbanded in 1989.
Come 2011, some 22 years after the band's demise, HAYES quietly refloats PERDITION with the knowledge REACTOR RECORDS is set to release the 30-track career retrospective NOT JUST ANOTHER ANTHOLOGY (2012) on Compact Disc. This was subsequently picked up by German label POWER IT UP (2017) for a double LP release, exclusive to the European markets.
Post 2012, PERDITION continues. Signing with Adelaide's TOMORROW RECORDS, the 4-track 7" EP NEW ANARCHY surfaced in 2019, whilst the brand-new album, simply titled PERDITION, dropped August 2025, on red translucent 12" Vinyl, Compact Disc, Streaming and Digital Download.
